MatLink is a construction-site materials ordering and delivery coordination application operated by GMJ Innovations Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). This privacy policy explains how personal information is handled when you use MatLink and how to contact us about your information.
1. Information we handle
- Account details: name or username, phone number, recovery email address, site identification, trade and assigned role.
- Authentication and security records: password credentials stored in protected form, login and session information, email verification and account-recovery information.
- Site operations: materials requests, plot references, order statuses, delivery history and comments entered into the app.
- Technical and usage records: information needed to run and secure the service, such as session/device identifiers, application events and troubleshooting data where collected by our services or integrated software.
2. Why we use information
We use information to register and authenticate accounts, link people to participating sites, operate materials-order and delivery workflows, provide role-based access, support email verification and account recovery, maintain service security, troubleshoot problems, and keep appropriate operational records.
3. Who can access information
MatLink uses site-based roles. An ordinary user can access their own relevant information and orders. Authorised Drivers and Managers may access additional orders or site-member information required for site operations. This means some order details or comments may be visible to other authorised members of the same site. We do not sell personal information.
4. Hosting and service providers
We use third-party infrastructure and service providers to host MatLink, store its databases, send account-related email and support application functionality. These providers may process information on our behalf. They do not necessarily receive information for their own independent marketing purposes. We review integrations and update this policy if data practices change.
5. Security
We use access controls, protected password storage, account and session management and secure connections to help safeguard data. No digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Retention
We keep personal and operational records only as long as reasonably required for service provision, site records, security, lawful obligations and dispute resolution. Some order information may need to be retained after an account is closed; where appropriate, personal information will be removed or anonymised.
7. Account deletion and data requests
To request account deletion, access to personal data, correction or other privacy assistance, email contact@gmjinnovations.co.uk with the subject MatLink Account Deletion Request or MatLink Privacy Request. Please tell us your account name and site so we can verify ownership. Do not include your password. We will assess the request and explain any information we must retain for legitimate operational or legal reasons. Suspending an account is not the same as deleting it.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable data-protection law, you may have rights to access or correct personal information, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, and raise a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children and intended users
MatLink is intended for participating construction-site personnel and other authorised users, not for children. Our current Google Play target audience is adults aged 18 and over.
10. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the application, its providers or legal requirements change. The updated version and date will appear on this page.
